Decision Making Training Course Description

(2 hours and 30 minutes)

We all make decisions every day – decisions like what to wear, where to eat or how to get the International Space Station crew safely back to Earth. OK, that last one might not be so common, but some decisions can feel like they carry that type of weight. Decisions gain weight when the stakes are high, the time is short, or the information is unclear or nonexistent. Or all of the above. Yet, we have to decide.

This training course will help your managers make the most informed, timely decision possible, by helping them first understand the situation they’re facing. Then giving them the tools to arrive at a decision that brings the space station crew home safely. So whether they’re preparing for a lunch or a launch, they can confidently make a quality decision.

The decision making training course achieves the following outcomes:

  • Quickly determine different decision conditions.
  • Apply best practices for making decisions in easy-button conditions (simple decisions).
  • Apply best practices for making decisions in Rubik’s Cube conditions (complicated decisions).
  • Apply best practices for making decisions in maze conditions (complex decisions).
  • Apply best practices for making decisions in grenade conditions (chaotic decisions).
  • Know when to change decisions when something doesn't go as planned.
